Every kit contains all you need to grow your chosen herb. A recycled wine bottle is used to construct the body of the system, all edges are ground by hand so there’s no need to worry about sharp corners left over from cutting the bottle. Watering the kits could not be simpler just keep an eye on the water line (clearly visible) and top up when needed, every couple of weeks. Each kit contains enough organic hydroponic fluid for you to be able to grow your herbs for approximately two years. The kits also come with spare parts so that if your horticultural skills require a little honing there’s a second chance waiting.
Coriander or cilantro as some people know it, is a very popular herb. Coriander is a versatile herb with its seeds being used as a spice and the plant itself being used as a herb. Sticking with it's use as a herb, coriander is described as having a mellow even subtle taste profile, slightly tart tasting with lemony/lime edge. Really quite different in taste to the seeds. Much like basil heating the leaves diminishes their flavour rapidly, so it is best added just before serving the meal. Having a Hydro-herb kit in your kitchen ready to go all year round is a very attractive option.More about Hydro Herb.
Each kit contains all the parts you need to grow your chosen herb from seed, just follow the instructions and within 7 to 10 days you'll notice the seeds begin to germinate. Remember these plants need light to grow, more light equals more rapid growth ( you could also try giving them a few extra drops of nutrient solution to really give them some 'pep'. Although the different herbs grow at different rates within 7- 8 weeks given enough light you should find they are ready for you to pick some leaves off and use them in your cooking. Continue like this and the plants should give you months of steady growth. There is enough solution to last you around two years.
