The Karhu Fulcrum Star is a proper piece of running history reworked for the street - a faithful lifestyle revival of the brand's 1987 marathon silhouette, and notably the very first Karhu shoe to carry the brand's innovative Fulcrum guidance system. Back in the day that Fulcrum geometry was built to direct forces forward through the gait cycle, cutting drag and giving a smoother, rolling transition underfoot - genuinely clever stuff for a late-80s racing shoe, and the sort of technical pedigree that gives this reissue real substance rather than just good looks. The upper mixes a breathable mesh base with suede overlays and a synthetic-leather M-branding detail, sitting on a cushioned foam footbed with proper arch support. Karhu have been making running shoes in Finland since 1916 - the same lineage that produced the "Flying Finns" Olympic golds and, famously, sold its three-stripe trademark to a young Adidas back in the 1950s - so there's a serious amount of sporting heritage baked into every pair. The Fulcrum Star wears that history lightly though: it's a genuinely comfortable, retro-running silhouette that looks as good with a pair of jeans as it did on a marathon start line, and a proper way into Karhu's archive for anyone who appreciates a sneaker with a real story behind it.

Never shopped online but the store is spot on. Staff are always friendly, helpful and always up for a chat. You're definitely made to feel comfortable and the service is top notch. Great range of garments and it's amazing to have a place like this locally, no where else really compares in terms of a brick and mortar store for these kind of clothes.

This is a great store - lovely range of clothes and brands. Well laid out store so easy to find what you’re after or just browse. Friendly and efficient staff make your visit to the store easy and smooth. One of my favourite stores in this much improved area of the city centre.

I'm from Birmingham and now live in nuneaton, I usually go back there to shop, having visited cream I will mostly stay put. Tom was extremely helpful, polite and displayed excellent customer service.
