The Whiting is Wax London's signature piece, and it's become the anchor of their overshirt range for good reason - it works equally well as a shirt, a mid-layer, or a genuine outer layer depending on what you put underneath it. This Ash colourway is woven in a wool-blend check that mixes ecru and grey yarns for a softer, more muted take on the check-overshirt idea, finished with two useful front patch pockets and Wax London's signature corozo nut buttons, made from a sustainably-sourced tagua palm rather than standard plastic. Where this version differs from Wax's cotton-based Whitings is the fabric itself: the wool-blend main body brings genuine warmth for the colder months (with a viscose lining through the sleeves for a smoother feel against the arms), which makes it a proper transitional-into-winter piece rather than a lightweight summer shirt-jacket. It layers naturally over a tee or knitted polo and works just as well buttoned all the way up on a cold day as it does thrown open over a plain crew neck - genuinely one of those pieces that earns its keep across the whole back half of the year.

Love coming here for cool home accessories that have a streetwear vibe. They stock a lot of nice bits that you don’t find elsewhere! Really nice store and friendly staff. What Sheffield has been missing :)

Such a unique shop with with good staff. I met the owner many years ago when he was located in smaller shop and to see how much it has grown the standard is still at the highest point all these years later. I look forward to the 28 mile trip knowing I’m coming back with something every time.

Never shopped online but the store is spot on. Staff are always friendly, helpful and always up for a chat. You're definitely made to feel comfortable and the service is top notch. Great range of garments and it's amazing to have a place like this locally, no where else really compares in terms of a brick and mortar store for these kind of clothes.

Lovely up to date store with a wonderful array of clothing that fits my style! I’ve been a few times and always ended up finding just what I needed with the help of one of the workers, the young lad - Reuben. It’s definitely my go to shop in the city centre.
